In the softness of a Saint-Tropez summer there is a place where music takes over and meticulously dissolves each person's cares. Great artists produce sounds which bring people together, miraculously charmed and enraptured under the moonlight.

A realistic tale, an enchanted festival, light as air for some, powerful for others. At the very tip of the Saint-Tropez peninsula there is a musical adventure on offer to young and old.

Dear Festival-goers, there's no denying that more and more of you are demonstrating your particular attachment to this event. In 2019, in an era of ever more sophisticated marketing, what more efficient communication could be hoped for than your sincere enthusiasm?

This requires us to surpass ourselves, in programming, in improving infrastructure and audience reception, something our team ensures with the greatest care, as you know. Musicians throng to the event as the Nuits du Château de la Moutte Festival is now a firmly established event on the French musical scene.

This year, you will be fortunate enough to see the frenzied Flamenco dancer Eduardo Guerrero and to hear legendary Rhoda Scott and her exclusively female jazz orchestra perform in the palm-grove!

Your ears will be treated to magnificent artists like Henri Demarquette, Paul Meyer, Edgar Moreau, Karol Beffa, Renaud Capuçon, the actor Charles Berling and, on the Canoubiers beach, Thomas Enhco and his powerful improvisations.

The Russian School has given us extraordinary artists in recent centuries - a prestigious line of artists embodied today by performers such as Alexei Volodin, Vladimir Spivakov, the Moscow Virtuosi Orchestra and the phenomenal young violinist Daniel Lozakovich.

Last but not least, the sublime voice of Véronique Gens accompanied by Susan Manoff's subtle playing, will be the closing note of the programme.

The 44th edition of our festival promises to be festive.

I wish each and every one of you a wonderful 2019 festival!

Jean-Philippe Audoli, director
